In this capacity, Millicent worked with major corporate clients, including Nissan, BMW, Bokomo, Coca-Cola, and various South African plants. Her contributions helped optimise lube consumption, reduce downtime, and increase operational efficiency. A key achievement came in 2007, when her team’s work with a major mining house resulted in over USD 1 million in savings by introducing new formulations that extended oil drainage intervals for mining dump trucks—a milestone in her technical career.

Millicent’s career continued to thrive as she transitioned to commercial sales, managing clients across long-haul transport, manufacturing, and mining sectors. In her aviation sales role, Millicent improved service levels and margins for global carriers, utilising her deep insights into customer needs and value propositions. Her outstanding people skills and ability to deliver results led to her promotion as Marketing Executive overseeing Shell’s commercial fuels business, where she played a pivotal role in assisting the branded distributor network to grow through tailored customer offerings.

Today, as the proud founder of Giyani Petroleum, Millicent brings her wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to her own company, where she continues to offer innovative and reliable petroleum solutions to clients across South Africa.
